Questions

Reminders arrive late
Check that MoveMonkey is allowed notifications, Health access and Motion & Fitness access in Settings, and that it has not been closed in the App Switcher. The system does not wake an app that has been closed; open MoveMonkey again to resume reminders.

The Apple Watch doesn’t tap while a Focus is on
While a Focus such as Work or Personal is on, the Apple Watch taps only if that Focus allows MoveMonkey; the iPhone still sounds the reminder when the Focus allows Time Sensitive Notifications. To have the Apple Watch tap too:

  1. Go to Settings, tap Focus, then choose a Focus.
  2. Tap Apps, then tap Allow Notifications From.
  3. Tap +, then select MoveMonkey.

Add it once to each Focus you use while sitting, such as Work or Personal. Then tap Test Reminder in MoveMonkey’s settings to check.

If the Focus uses Silence Notifications From, make sure MoveMonkey is not in it. If the iPhone is silent as well, turn on Time Sensitive Notifications on the same page, then go to Settings, tap Notifications, tap MoveMonkey and turn on Time Sensitive Notifications.

To have no reminders at all while a Focus is on (Sleep, for example), add MoveMonkey under that Focus’s Focus Filters and turn on Pause Reminders.

Is an Apple Watch required?
No. The iPhone alone can remind you; with an Apple Watch on, standing is detected more accurately and reminders reach your wrist.

Is health data uploaded?
No. Everything is worked out on your devices; the server receives the reminder times worked out from it, not health data; see the Privacy Policy.
